🇫🇷 Most Popular Baby Names in France (2025)
INSEE, the French statistics office, publishes the first names given to children born in France since 1900, taken from the civil register. Until 1993 parents were limited to a repertoire of accepted names, largely saints and figures from ancient history. Since then the choice is free, and a name the registrar has doubts about goes to the public prosecutor rather than being refused on the spot. The list shows the top 50 per sex.
